Junoon's new song Saqi

Junoon Group has recorded a brand new song and video entitled "Saqi-nama" in
honour of Allama Iqbal's birth anniversary on November 9th.
Coca-Cola has sponsored the video, which will be aired Thursday night and on
this weekend on both PTV-1 and PTV World. Salman Ahmad has composed music, whose
lyrics were penned by Allama Iqbal as part of his collection of poetry also
named "Saqi-nama". The song is a youth anthem aimed at motivating youth of
Pakistan to seek knowledge and strive for their dreams, as was the hope of
Allama Iqbal.
"Saqi-nama", will be featured on Junoon's upcoming album to be released in
January. Its video is to be released shortly on a VCD collection Junoon's
greatest videos entitled "1990-2000: The Videos".
