Junoon 2002: A Report
On the mid-eve of October 20th 2002, Junoon was live in concert at Funplex in
Houston, where they once again gave up a performance to make people wild. The
Concert at Funplex started around 9:30pm, stages were set, people were lining up
as usual at Funplex to hear their most esteemed Hip-hop, hard-rock Junoon.
Approximately 600-800 people attended the concert. Junoon gave out a sensational
performance, however, to most people amazement was to see Ali Azmat bald, how
could be a long-curly haired Ali Azmat who mostly threw his hair in the audience
faces by shaking it vigorously be bald - that was the sensational part. Junoon
presented the audience with their hit songs such as Gharaj Baras, Sami, and some
of the latest songs which they are going to launch in their new album. Sound
System at Funplex was tremendous, quality was very much appreciated by the
people; the biggest backdraw was that the stage was small and people from the
far back could not even see the sensational Junoon performing. Food was
excellent and much taken care of by the organizers, from pastries to
burgers-everything was available.
To much disappointment of many people the show ended at 12:00am Midnight, which
was the most depressing part because no Junooni's on that day wanted to go home
early, especially on a Friday night; however, we can say one thing Junoon really
knows how to make people come up on their toes even if it is for a short time.
Go Junoon and Go Funplex!!
